So, if you cannot meet all three qualifications under the core group, you can still be eligible under the boarder group if:

  • your energy provider is a part of the scheme
  • you’re on income is low
  • you receive particular means-tested benefits.

Cold Weather Payment Scheme

Within November 1, 2019, to March 31, 2020, you can qualify to extra payments of £25 if the weather descends to or below zero degrees Celsius in your area for seven consecutive days.

How can I qualify?

  • Income support
  • Income-based jobseeker’s allowance
  • Income-related employment and support allowance
  • Universal credit
  • Support for mortgage interest

Winter Fuel Payment
